The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, established in 2003, hopes to enhance and enrich the lives of children and youth in the communities in which its dealer members work and live by providing access to and supporting excellence in the institutions and programs that serve the children in the five-county Philadelphia area, including The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. To date, the organization has contributed over $4 million to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation is nearing the end of a six-year, $2 million pledge to the Hospital which supports the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Patient Welcome Center in the Richard D. Wood Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center and many of the Hospital’s invaluable programs. The pledge will be fulfilled this year and total giving to the Hospital will exceed $4.3 million for the past two decades.
In just two years, the Foundation’s Driving Away the Cold program has warmed the hearts of over 36,000 of the Delaware Valley’s neediest children. Driving Away the Cold provides new winter coats to underprivileged youngsters in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
