1938 Jaguar SS100 The SS 100 was the first true 100 mph sports car available to the public, and were European rally champions by the end of the 1930s. Widely considered to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing Jaguar cars, it is also one of the rarest with only 116 of the 3.5 liter models being made. 1952 Allard J2 The Allard J2 was a British limited production racing car, and since Allard didn't manufacture their own engines, many were fitted with American V-8s. When combined with the 331 cu. in. Cadillac or Chrysler 331 Hemi Firepower the J2 was a particularly potent contender. 1935 Auburn 851 Supercharged Speedster As one of the few prewar American sports cars, the Auburn Speedster was a powerful, affordable and stylish car. In 1932, a stock supercharged speedster driven by Ab Jenkins was clocked at 100 mph through the flying mile at Bonneville. 1953 Hudson Hornet The Hudson Hornet dominated NASCAR racing in the mid-1950s. This 1953 Hudson Hornet Twin H-Power Sedan is very special and has a very distinguished racing career. It was known affectionately as the 'Satan of Morimar'. It was built for hill climbs and achieved great success in the Southwest. 1929 duPont LeMans Speedster Built in Wilmington, De., by the duPont family, these were massive cars for the very wealthy. In 1929, the factory entered one exactly like this in the famous Le Mans 24-hour race. 1966 Corvette Stingray 1966 was the first full year for the availability of the legendary 427 cu. in. motor. They were bored and stroked versions of the 396 cu. in. 1965 motors and were available in two flavors: 390 hp and 425 hp (shown here). 1954 Austin Healey 100/4 These 4-cylinder engined sports cars from England were among the most competitive racers of their era. A slightly modified production model exceeded 140 mph at Bonneville in 1953. Philly Phiat (Fiat 500) The 500 was a two-seater, rear engine, utility car that was built as an economical means of transportation void of luxury items or sports-car intentions. It featured a 479 cc overhead valve engine mated to a four speed gearbox. With 13 horsepower the 500 never set any land speed records.
