Front-wheel drive is standard and 4MOTION all-wheel drive is available. The 117.3-inch wheelbase preserves useful passenger and cargo space beneath the sleeker roofline. Available equipment includes Nappa leather, real wood trim, front massage seats, a heated steering wheel with shift paddles and a 15-inch display with an AI-enabled voice assistant.

The 2027 Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R continue as four-door performance hatchbacks with distinct mechanical identities. The front-wheel-drive GTI uses a 241-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, returning 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. The all-wheel-drive Golf R raises output to 328 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque while using its own seven-speed dual-clutch calibration and returning 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Both share compact dimensions, flexible hatchback cargo space, a 12.9-inch infotainment display and IQ.DRIVE driver-assistance technology.

The 2027 Volkswagen ID. Buzz returns as a three-row electric van with rear- or all-wheel drive. The rear-drive configuration uses a 282-horsepower motor with 413 lb-ft of torque, while 4MOTION adds a front motor for 335 system horsepower. Represented ratings are 83 MPGe combined for rear drive and 80 MPGe combined for all-wheel drive. A long 127.5-inch wheelbase creates generous passenger and cargo room. The revised lineup adds Pro S 4MOTION and adventure-focused Tourer 4MOTION trims, updated software, physical steering-wheel controls, one-pedal driving, a NACS adapter and expanded driver-assistance features.

The 2027 Volkswagen Taos is a compact five-seat SUV powered by a 174-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 184 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic is used with front-wheel drive or available 4MOTION all-wheel drive. The combined group uses the more efficient front-drive rating of 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway and a matching 3,181-pound represented curb weight. The lineup adds a Sport model with black exterior details and yellow cabin stitching without creating a separate mechanical identity. Available features include premium audio, ventilated seats, a panoramic roof and IQ.DRIVE assistance.

Both use an eight-speed automatic transmission. The more efficient front-drive core configuration is rated at 26 mpg city and 34 mpg highway; the Turbo returns 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. A 109.9-inch wheelbase supports five seats and cargo space, while available equipment includes audio, a head-up display and IQ.DRIVE assistance.
